Mario Castrogiovanni
The Architect Mario Castrogiovanni is the founder and the director of the design studio Concept House Design. After obtaining his high school degree as a surveyor in 1994, he enrolled in the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Palermo where, in 2002, he graduated with a grade of 109/110 with a thesis entitled “Liturgical Adaptation of the Church of San Pietro in Piazza Armerina”, supervisor Prof. Pasquale Culotta. Also in 2002, he qualified as an architect and immediately afterwards enrolled in the Order of Architects, Planners, Landscapers and Conservators of the Province of Palermo at no. 4479. In 2003 he began to take his first steps in the world of work through an important collaboration with the Arch. Giuseppe Mangano, a well-known professional from Cefalù. In 2021 he was appointed by the Council of the Order of Architects of the province of Palermo, Delegate for the Cefalù area (Cefalù, Pollina, San Mauro Castelverde).
The Architect's projects
Since the beggining of his activities the Designer Castrogiovanni was involved in the architectural design for the renovation of buildings purchased in Sicily by foreign clients. He has also collaborated with foreign studios in the supervision of works in Switzerland (Lucerne – kastanie Baum), in Liechtenstein (Mauren) and in Thailand (Pattaya, Pepperwood Garden).
Today, he carries out architectural design, interior design, technical consultancy, surveys, drafting of building and land registry practices, safety at work and energy certification of buildings.
Design studio in
Cefalù
In 2005 Mario Castrogiovanni founded the Concept House Design, a design studio in Cefalù. The studio’s work favours a design that pays attention to details, also in the field of environmental sustainability. The project is developed, step by step, devoting the same care and attention to each individual design phase, resulting in properties that are removed from the standardisation that characterises modern building activity.

Process
The customer's needs are the necessary starting point for a result that satisfy completly the requests. One then looks at peculiarities of the site and the context in which the work must fit. Then the construction phase begins, which takes place under the Architect's direction.
Partnership
The studio's partnership with carefully selected artisans partners allows the timely realization of all the elements provided in the project. The result is a design that is far from the standardisation that charaterises modern building activity.
Concept
The beauty is an important concept in our culture, as it makes us recognise the meaning behind everything. The sense of beauty, for example, through art, allows us to understand the history of a city. Educating taste through observation, simple study, knowledge of beautiful things: this is our Concept.
